Red Tourmaline Gemstones
Oval – 1 to 5 Carats
Even though this oval has just a touch of pink it still looks like candy. It has one feather threw its heart, but I was able to orient it so that it is perpendicular to the table and can hardly be noticed face up. It is dichroic and most of the color is in the ends of the oval. I like its different pink look. It weighs 2.27 carats.
This oval definitely changes from orange to rich pink depending on the light. Except for a couple of non reflective white inclusion on the side of the table, this stone has it all in a vivid color and a medium rich tone value. And then it keeps tripping me up by being a different color than I expect. It weighs 1.56 carats.
I like this stone. Its vivid pink color grabs the eye and its fine crystal helps spark the mind. Now I have to say that it is included. despite the great introduction to a beautiful gemstone. But this is an example of a success in placing one very obvious white flaw, both away from under the table and vertically to the table. This makes the inclusion have very little impact on the stone under normal viewing angles. The stepped crown makes the oval just that much brighter. It weighs 3.93 carats.
This medium light pastel oval with a stepped cut crown has areas of pink and green with nearly the same tone values. The oval mixes the colors together to make Beige to me. I am sure that could be a debated over color. This pretty, interesting gemstone appears to be eye clean and weighs 3.26 carats,
I like this gemstone. It radiates energy in every direction from its evenly intense, vivid red color. It looks eye clean, but wait there is a ringer. Yes another almost vertical feather is found between the table and the girdle. With its position and the stone's wonderfully intensity, it is hard to see, but it will flash at you, if you work at it. This oval weighs 4.61 carats of GEM quality tourmaline (minus the flaw).
